THE LAUNCH LIST · UPDATED 4 OCTOBER 2026

Your details,
treated with care.

This page explains what happens when you register your interest in shag.me. The site is currently a coming-soon page, for adults aged 18 and over.

What we collect

We save your email address, your first name if you choose to give it, the time you sign up, and a record of your confirmation that you’re 18 or over and want launch updates. Joining the list does not create a dating profile.

Why we use it

We use your details, with your consent, to send news about the shag.me launch. We don’t sell your details or use advertising trackers. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, and any launch email will include a way to opt out.

Where it’s stored

Launch-list details are stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States, encrypted at rest and in transit. We keep them for the launch list until you opt out or the list is closed. We will ask separately before using them for a different purpose.

Keeping the site running

Hosting logs can include your IP address, browser and requested URL, and are kept for up to 90 days. Technical function logs are kept for 30 days; the signup service does not log your email, name or form contents. To limit automated submissions, we also temporarily store a hashed IP identifier and request count. These are marked for expiry after 24 hours; AWS may take a few extra days to remove expired records.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw your consent, by emailing contact@nthstate.com from the address you registered. Deleted records may remain in protected recovery backups for up to 35 days before those backups expire.

For any privacy questions, contact the shag.me team at the same address.
